A music festival in a mixed Jewish-Arab city - a place often called a microcosm of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Live in Lod is an annual festival held in Lod, a mixed city in central Israel where about 25,000 Palestinian citizens and 52,000 Jewish Israelis live. Now in its fourth year, it is a two-night, multi-venue event featuring local artists.
It was created as a grassroots initiative to support artists, educators, and small businesses in Lod’s most underserved communities. Its founders describe the city as one that reflects the region’s diversity and tensions, and its progress as something that matters.

Lod is a city often unknown or disregarded, with tensions and realities that reflect the whole region, and an abundance of grassroots leaders working toward a more fair and equal community.

For two nights in the year, the music makes the city feel like one.
